Blowing Bubbles 吹泡泡
Mom: Let's go to the park.
妈妈：咱们去公园吧。
Child: Why?
宝宝：为什么？
Mom: It's a gorgeous day.
妈妈：今天天气多好啊。
Do you want to go blow bubbles?
你想去吹泡泡吗？
吹“出”某物，如blow bubbles-吹泡泡，或接触某物的吹，如blow a horn-吹喇叭，用blow；不接触某物的吹，如blow on your bump-吹吹你撞的包，用blow on。
Child: I've never blown bubbles before.
宝宝：我从来没吹过泡泡。
What do we need to bring?
咱们都需要带什么呀？
Mom: We need bubble mixture and a bubble wand.
妈妈：我们需要泡泡水和泡泡棒。
(1) Mixture是混合物的意思，这里指泡泡水；泡泡水的“水”亦可用liquid和solution，但mixture和liquid在口语中更常用。
(2) Wand是小棒，和magic wand-魔棒的棒是同一个词。
Child: Can we make the bubble mixture?
宝宝：咱们能自己做泡泡水吗？
Mom: We can.
妈妈：可以呀。
Let's go to the kitchen and make our bubble mixture.
咱们去厨房做泡泡水吧。
We will need to measure our ingredients.
我们需要量一下配料。
We need 1/3 cup of dish soap,
我们需要1/3杯洗涤灵，
1/3读作one third。
1/4 cup of corn syrup,
1/4杯玉米糖浆，
1/4读作one quarter。
and 2 cups of water.
和两杯水。
Child: Do I mix up the ingredients?
宝宝：我来混合配料吗？
Mom: Yes, but do it carefully.
妈妈：嗯，但是要小心。
Put them in a jar
把它们倒到一个罐子里，
and stir the ingredients gently.
轻轻地搅拌配料。
Child: Done.
宝宝：好了。
Mom: That's perfect.
妈妈：非常好。
Fill your little bottle up to the top,
把你的小瓶灌满，
and we'll save the rest for next time.
剩下的留着下次用。
Let's pack up our stuff and head to the park.
咱们收拾东西去公园吧。
At the Park 在公园
Child: How do we blow bubbles?
宝宝：怎么吹泡泡啊？
Mom: Dip your wand in the bottle to get some liquid on it.
妈妈：用小棒在瓶儿里蘸点泡泡水。
Then take a deep breath
然后深吸一口气，
and blow gently through the wand.
轻轻地从小棒里吹出来。
If you blow too soft,
如果你吹得太轻，
you won't make a bubble.
你吹不出泡泡来。
If you blow too hard,
如果你吹得太使劲，
your bubble will pop.
你的泡泡会破的。
Child: I did it!
宝宝：我吹出来了！
Look! It's so pretty!
看！多漂亮啊！
Mom: Great job!
妈妈：真棒！
Child: This is a lot of fun.
宝宝：真好玩。
Mom: Let's pop the bubbles!
妈妈：咱们戳泡泡吧！
Pop是使爆裂的意思，在吹泡泡场景比poke-戳更常用。
Child: Pop! Pop! Pop!
