Position Description
Dr. Menzies’ Research Lab in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking candidates for a one-year post-doctoral fellow position to investigate the epidemiology of TB and latent TB infection (LTBI), and implications for the current and future course of population-level TB epidemics.
Most TB cases in the US result from reactivation of LTBI. For this reason, identifying and treating individuals with LTBI is a primary focus of TB prevention.
The successful candidate will contribute to national research on TB with a focus on providing updated estimates of lifetime risks of reactivation TB for specific US populations.
The candidate may also have opportunities to collaborate on international projects depending on interests and expertise.
Basic Qualifications：
Doctoral degree or a visiting scholar in statistics or biostatistics, computer sciences, data science, public health, epidemiology or a related field. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in research in the fields mentioned above.
Desired skills include:
Excellent analytical, organization and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Experience with R (required), C++ (preferred), Stan (preferred) and/or similar statistical modeling software
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment with collaborators, stakeholders, and research staff
